Delivered in partnership with Caddick Construction for DPD, this project comprised the construction of a 19,130 m² external yard service area serving a major logistics warehouse facility at Kingmoor Park, Carlisle.
The works involved the installation of a high-specification external concrete yard slab, engineered to meet stringent flatness tolerances (TR66), ensuring durability and operational efficiency for heavy vehicle movements and logistics activity.
Key elements of the package included:
- 19,130 m² brush-finished concrete slab
- 3,826 m³ PAV2 concrete
- 550 m expansion joints
- 2,175 m formed restrained movement joints
- 1,275 m saw-cut joints
- 1,150 m sawn free movement joints
- 1,085 m isolation joints
- 1,660 sheets of A252 mesh reinforcement
